Lifting your spirits

Here are two beautiful things to meditate on: Sunshine and roses. Picture the sunshine, warm, yellow, vibrant, filtering into your home and casting its light into corners, filling them up with its happiness: We usually relate sunshine to happiness. Think about sunshine and it does give you a warm and happy glow.

Visualize roses: Beautiful, perfectly formed, wonderful colours and with the bonus of a beautiful scent.

Visualize sunshine and roses on those days when you feel a bit down and the combination will lift your spirits. For me, any kind of nature lifts my spirits. A walk in the forest or beside a stream and I feel connected, once again, to nature and the important things of life.

Rainbows are another thing that make me smile; such beautiful colours in the midst of a rainstorm, seem to be synonymous with hope; after all, if something as beautiful and multi-coloured as a rainbow is created by sunshine and rain, surely our own situations can be turned into something good, just by sunshine being added to them.

Try it yourself: Picture a rainbow, sun shining through the rain - is it making you smile? The next time someone upsets you, or an unhappy situation occurs, visualize a rose, some sunshine, a rainbow. Of course, the situation will still be there, but you may be in a stronger frame of mind to deal with it.

Make a conscious effort to raise the vibrations in and around you and happier things and situations will be drawn to you.
